Jump into my 1959 Span America 14 foot runabout!

 

Her name? "Runaround Sue" of course!

 

 

 

Lots of chrome and fins on the water. Always gets tons of attention - no matter how many super expensive boats are nearby. I lovingly restored this boat to concours condition over a six year period. She is the only one of her kind registered in the State of Texas, and perhaps the last running example left in the entire world. She is powered by a mint condition original Kiekhaefer Mercury 500 outboard that had seen less than 100 running hours since it left the factory - in 1966!

 

By the way, notice anything different about the U.S. flag? I has only 49 stars! It is super rare.

This was the official US flag for only six months in 1959 - after Alaska, and before Hawaii.
