My Favorite 1980's Cars

While American, European and Japanese auto manufacturers designed boring, underpowered low emissions suburban commuters, there were some noteworthy exceptions that stood the test of time. I owned two of the vehicles on this page - a 1985 Fiero 2AM (which I actually enjoyed driving very much even if it was really gutless), and a 1986 Porsche 930 turbo Cabriolet (which was a very fun car to drive in the sun). By the way, my current car, the Abarth 595, is much quicker in the quarter mile than the Ferrari Mondial convertible shown here. I could also effortlessly blow the doors off the Delorean.

But I sure couldn't beat that Porsche 959 though...
